Good to know before you start
Do I need to install anything?
No. ShiftSetu runs in the browser on a computer, a tablet or a phone. Your team signs in with their own email and password.
How do customers track their shipment?
Every order gets a tracking number and a link. The customer opens the link, or types the number on the tracking page, and sees the current status and the history. No account is needed.
Can I use my own shipment statuses?
Yes. You can rename, reorder, recolour, disable or add statuses. Each one is linked to a stage such as "in transit" or "delivered", so the dashboard and the reports keep working.
Is my company's data kept separate from other companies?
Yes. Each company has its own workspace. Your customers, orders, payments and documents are only visible to the people you give a login to.
Can I control what my staff can do?
Yes. Owners, managers and staff have different permissions out of the box, and you can change them or create your own roles.
What does the customer see on the tracking page?
The status, the cities, the dates and the timeline of public updates. You choose whether the customer's name and the full addresses are shown. Prices, payments and internal notes are never shown.
